VOYAGE TO THE END OF TIME

The shadow to the west fades.
There, beyond the black veil,
past the chasm of sulphur,
even yonder the Styx
where silence is deafening,
and a tremor lingers menacing in the air.

Face, pale towards the chasm
Churning through the meandering ether
Even fear chose abandon,
Time wither, bent on the constellation.

There, beyond the black veil,
furthest from the sun,
at the end of time and space,
at the edge of the mighty black eternal.

There, is where I choose to linger,
where the teardrops fall
that drown the fire of men,
wash ancestral sin, baptize
me in astral flesh.

To a waking eye,
burning like andesine gems,
at the very edge of existence, there!
Illumination through revelation.

… and I rise to the east, radiant star,
with a face bejewelled in starlight
first of the morning,
first in the coming of dawn,
